Gen 13 #1

Gen 13 #1; written by Gail Simone, art and cover by Talent Caldwell and Matt Banning

Come again like the pizza that serves well into the week, cold and otherwise frozen from the eats. Not too bad on the round again, and why not? It was fun the first time down. Can't it be like that for another down?

A new generation of adventure begins as superstar writer Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Villains United) and artists Talent Caldwell & Matt "Batt" Banning (Wildcats: Nemesis) join forces to reimagine the classic WildStorm teen team!

The life of a teenager can be a strange enough experience, but when super-powers are added to the mix things get a whole lot more confusing in a hurry!

Meet Caitlin, Sarah, Roxy, Bobby, and Eddie - outcast teenagers from different parts of the country who quickly learn they all have something in common: abilities far beyond those of their classmates!

But what's the secret to these wonderful and scary powers, and what role do the nefarious Tabula Rasa and International Operations play?

Gen13 from Wildstorm Comics.

DC Comics talk Tales Of The Unexpected. An eight take slice of the Spectre with David Lapham, Brian Azzarello, Eric Battle, Prentis Rollins and Cliff Chiang spooking the caves.

Various names, various faces, all in the one place throwing up a cup of mocha in Worldstorm. One shot in the arm from Wildstorm to catch the wave into the crest of others to follow.

Rick Spears and Vasilis Lolos are down with the hang nail crew chopping the waters with the The Pirates Of Coney Island. Image Comics presents itself with a shot of eight on gangs scratching on each other's turfs.

Crazy things abound with Necronomicon Ex Mortis floating about. It's chin against no face as Roger Stern, Kurt Busiek and James Fry get it on in the four part Darkman Vs Army Of Darkness from Dynamite Entertainment. "Klaatu barada nikto!"

Jimmie Robinson returns with the woman of mass destruction, Bomb Queen in a second volume outing from Image Comics.

Back to the start of the book as Bill Willingham, Lan Medina and Steve Leialoha float out Fables #1 Special Edition. From Vertigo, it's a chance for those who missed out to see what the first was all about.

Crossovers unite as Marvel punches the first in a nine part tale of Ultimate Power. Reed Richards rips through the Ultimateverse into the Supremeverse and it looks like the Squadron Supreme ain't all too happy with Mr Fantastic's incursion.
