Strangling the newspapers with Jameson

J. Jonah Jameson, cigar chomping publisher and editor-in-chief of The Daily Bugle. Hard nosed for the stories and always out there to snare Spider-Man in a spotlight. Jameson also happens to be the creator of the super villain known as the Scorpion.

Creating a super villain to not only take down your editorial enemy but also creating news stories from the effect to shine your own publication? Genius really.

Beats anything stage managers of television stations would do. Such as setting up kids on a disused cannon in a gunfire prone site. Or stacking soldiers for effect.

What it all comes down to is selling sensations and newspapers. The flashier the better, but the flash bombs are not the desired effect.

Slow news day? Never when you can create the headlines yourself. Of course, it's not wise to take things too far.
