Lobo: Highway to Hell; Written by Scott Ian; Art by Sam Kieth
Musicians love comics. Musicians also love writing comics. Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance brought us The Umbrella Academy, R & B singer Tyrese Gibson brought us Mayhem and now Scott Ian of Anthrax brings to the comic book world a Lobo comic so over the top that you'll forget what the top used to look like. With Sam Kieth on art, this 2-part mini-series from DC features demonic Chihuahuas, the world's worst cruise ship, exploding moons, severed heads and more insanity than you can poke a Czarnian stick at!
A Lobo story like nothing you've seen before! You can imagine that when you live life the way the Main Man lives life — loud, loose, and ludicrously violent — you might pick up an enemy or two along the way. An enemy like, say, oh I don't know, Satan himself. And Satan, my friends, does not play around. Hell's iron-fisted ruler has a serious mad-on for the last Czarnian, and he's gonna hit Lobo right in his blackened, scabrous heart. So Lobo's just gonna have to hit him harder.
But first, Lobo has to go to Hell... a little sooner than anticipated!
Black Widow, the deadliest and sexiest super-spy in comics receives her own 4-part mini-series starting with Black Widow: Deadly Origins #1. Written by Paul Cornell and featuring art by Tom Raney and John Paul Leon. This globe-hopping tale of espionage pits the Black Widow against her shadowy past that threatens everything she holds dear.
In the not-too-distant future, war is a spectator sport, warriors die hard and live fast, and living larger than anyone is super-soldier Lieutenant Mike Travers. That is, until Travers hotdogs it on the battlefield and gets himself and his C.O., Luther Manning, blown to bits. The show must go on. Enter: Deathlok the Demolisher!!! Starring in a new self-titled, 7-part mini-series, Deathlok returns to the limelight of Marvel Comics. Written by Charlie Huston (MOON KNIGHT) and breathtakingly illustrated by Lan Medina (FOOLKILLER).
When BLACKEST NIGHT falls, skeletons start coming out of the closets — and no one has more skeletons in his closet than Niles Caulder, founder of the Doom Patrol. Caulder has been playing god for years, and the time for a reckoning has come. The Doom Patrol thought they knew darkness. Find out how wrong they were in this BLACKEST NIGHT tie-in issue! Written by Keith Giffen; Art by Justiniano and Livesay.
