Tim Burton's zany cult-classic "Mars Attacks" is set to hit comic book shelves this week in an all new ongoing series set in the universe of the 1996 movie.


The invasion begins! The first stories of an all-new MARS ATTACKS universe are here, bringing outrageous action and dark humor to the comics page. Eisner-winning writer John Layman (Chew) is joined by Eisner-winning artist John McCrea (Hitman) to sound the alarm. Beware! The Martians are coming!

The Before Watchmen excitement continues this week with Before Watchmen: The Comedian #1! Written by Brian Azzarello and featuring art by J.G. Jones, fans can expect a lot from this all-star line up. The Comedian immediately garnered fan-favouritism from The Watchmen movie, so find out how he came to be the anti-hero he was in the all new Before Watchmen: The Comedian mini-series!


The all-powerful Phoenix Force has found not one, but FIVE hosts and in Avengers VS. X-Men #6 – their mission is clear, remake the Marvel Universe in their image. Kicking off the world changing second act of the comic book event of the year, the blockbuster team of Jonathan Hickman and Olivier Coipel show fans just what Pax Utopia looks like through the eyes of Cyclops, Emma Frost, Namor, Colossus & Magik!


Nightwing #10 continues this week from DC Comics with Part 1 of the new storyline "The Republic of Tomorrow, Today"! Nightwing begins investigating a double murder in Old Gotham that happens to feature part of his costume as evidence. This issue will also introduce the Republic of Tomorrow and their leader, Paragon. Written by Kyle Higgins and featuring art by Eddy Barrows.
