Man-Thing searches for water, finds bad breath

Recreating a familiar scene of one of his first sighted appearances, research scientist Ted Sallis aka Man-Thing, finds himself staring down the gullet of an alligator. Temperatures climb higher and higher in a global warming affected world. It's enough for the desperate to see extreme measures for their source of water.

Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. But look around, there are some places to hit...

Sucking succulents - plants like cacti, aloe vera, once past the thorny issue, make for adequate emergency source of a fluid nutrient. Not exactly the kind to drink through a straw though.

Sweatsuit - in the first step toward recycling, consider the many roaring beads of sweat racing down your forehead or neck. Salted to your own skin and systems, the flavour comes in part from whatever happens to be on your skin at that moment.

Sipping some personal Mountain Dew - in extreme situations, anything goes. Better a bad taste than vultures picking out your eyeballs. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
