ROBERT E. HOWARD'S SOLOMON KANE #1 - DARK HORSE COMICS
From the legendary Robert E. Howard (1906-1936), the man that created Conan the barbarian and now his other creation Solomon Kane has a new series.
Dark Horse's original Conan editor Scott Allie writes the new five-part Solomon Kane mini-series, with art by Mario Guevara and Dave Stewart and with Joe Kubert and John Cassaday doing the covers.
Howard describes Solomon Kane as a somber and gloomy man of pale face and cold eyes, all of it shadowed by a slouch hat. Dressed entirely in black and his weaponry consists of a rapier, a dagger, and a couple of flintlock pistols. Will suit horror and fantasy fans.
Robert E. Howard's vengeance-obsessed puritan begins his supernatural adventures in the haunted Black Forest of Germany in this five-issue adaptation of Howard's "The Castle of the Devil." When Solomon Kane stumbles upon the body of a boy hanged from a rickety gallows, he goes after the man responsible--a baron feared by the peasants from miles around. Something far worse than the devilish baron or the terrible, intelligent wolf that prowls the woods lies hidden in the ruined monastery beneath the baron's castle, where a devil-worshipping priest died in chains centuries ago.
Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti go Back to Brookyln - a five-part mini-series that can only described as Die Hard meets the Punisher. Brotherly-love falls apart as two siblings go up against each other, one a crime boss and the other trying to get out of the business. The mob wars begins. Suggested for mature readers, expect lude language and bloodly violence from Garth Ennis.
Ardden Entertainment presents; Flash Gordon - the sci-fi hero is back in a brand new on-going series based from the creator Alex Raymond's original ideas but with a mordern twist. CIA agent Dale and Flash team-up as they are in the world of espionage, they try to track down a mercenary who has been accused of creating a weapon of mass destruction. Don't forget about Ming the "Merciful", he lerks in the shadows as this all goes down.
It's ninja time with Tales of TMNT as it hits it's 50th issue - the Turtles and Leatherhead go up against the deadliest creatures on Earth as they fight to win back their freedom from the big game hunter Mr Marlin. This issue will be an action-packed epic battle of monstrous proportions. Story by Ryan Brown, Tristan Jones and Paul Harmon.
When strangeness threatens to engulf the world, a strange man will come to save it. Hellboy, the world's greatest paranormal investigator, is the only thing standing between sanity and insanity as he battles the mystical forces of the netherworld and a truly bizarre plague of frogs. And if he fails, we all fail with him!
