Sand in the pants, sand in the shirt pockets

Strutting it out on the front cover of The Daily Bugle Thomas Hayden Church flaunts his arms as Flint Marko, better known in the comics as Sandman. Sandman, a man made entirely out of sand and forever stuck with one outfit.

Living almost all of his criminal life with jockeys full of silica and prenatal glass, the wear and tear makes for easier accommodation of grains. Ordinary folk aren't in such a position. Some might actually like that feeling of eternal "beachness" inside their clothes. Others, not as much.

Through the ringer - dump the clothes into the washing machine. Hopefully with the appearance of water, the sand will rejoice and return to swimming in the liquid. If nothing else, that rank seaweed smell will be lesser for the ordeal of sand pitting the Westinghouse.

Vacuuming - take to a mighty bowling ball sucker and rack up a bag - or cylinder for the bagless - full of C and D grade sand. Perfect for adding that extra weird roughage to any meal.

Abstinence - best bet in not taking a crack full of sand is to stay away from the sand pit and the beach in general. Teeming with grains of sand the beaches be. Only the fool hardy venture into the sea with no regard for the dangers of rubbing blind an eye full of sand.
