October: where the rock goes on for ever and ever

Would you look at that. It's already October and for those keeping score, that's the middle of spring in Australia. Where snapping cold one day is freezing warm the next and it only gets better.

By the time October rolls around, it's also too late to remember to head out to some of those Oktoberfest festivities. Strange calendar says the stein smashing and sausage downing happens on the tail end of September. Watch it close though, there is a day or two at the start of the month where the ale is overflowing.

Speaking of the end, some of the old expats of the US might be fond in remembering Halloween taking place at that area of the room. Seriously, what's the point of one day when it's really supposed to be an entire year with ghosts, ghouls and ghastlies?

Lobo's Loot

Lobo's Loot is the jackpot raffle run and drawn by theComicShop* Liverpool. At the start of each month, a ticket is drawn at random and posted on the Lobo's Loot ticket box. If your raffle ticket happens to be the other half of the raffle ticket stuck on the box, guess what? You're a winner!

Now here are some rules:

• Purchases of $5 and over made at theComicShop* qualify for a ticket.
• Only tickets issued by staff will be accepted for claims of the jackpot.
• Ticket holders must return to the store between 1 and 14 of each calendar month to see if they've won.
• Standard jackpot is $25. Should a winner not be found for a particular month, Lobo's Loot will jackpot.
• Jackpots will continue to jackpot until a winner claims the jackpot.
• Prize is redeemable only at theComicShop* which itself is located at 10a/170 George Street, Liverpool NSW 2170, Australia.
• Lobo himself does not make an appearance on each drawing of the lucky raffle ticket.
• Wipe your feet, clean your sheets.
