Flying back from Melbourne on a few hours of total sleep makes for a head full of jazz and not really that much hurt. It's an amazing feeling ride that crest into sanity. Watching out for the break is where the marshmallows come in and you can never melt enough marshmallows on a slice of bread.
Comics hitting the store on September looks likely to be a light affair. Only reason to pick up
Strangers In Paradise #84 is to run it down into the end of the series. Where Terry Moore takes Katchoo and Francine and the rest of the SiP crew out of the ongoing.

One thing that the new store brings with it is the lack of brown paper bags to stash purchased comics in. No longer with that porno bag look, it's all about the white and the black and the branding.
And then there's the smacking of the ink and the rubber stamp on the little bags to keep up with the bigger version.
After an hour or two, it's the cracking of the wrists before the cracking of the rubber that makes the louder sounds.

Brilliant fake pass with
the cover image of Michelangelo getting his teeth taken to to open things up. Aliens and more body species specifically, Triceratons hitting about the place.
Silence on the streets pretty much goes nowhere, but builds up a sense of wonder, like where do the people go when looking for leather socks? Sort of something trippy in the battle scenes of Leonardo in the Nexus, but nothing comes close to the hero worship of the Triceratons to the Turtles in the other half.
Not so much in awe, but more of respect, and it's an easy issue to read on its own. For the most part.

Much to do, so little frying time to do it. It's a walkabout issue with August 14 presenting a couple of hits into the pocket, a nifty thing now with the cheaper prices in effect.
Freezing the body core on reading a couple of comics in the morning,
Ex Machina #23 and
Casanova #4 are looking hot to warm the spine. Tight and super fine, their respective showings issues earlier today making them easy choices to pick up. The latter being pretty much the only one comic to rise in price. Give it as it takes.
The ten page preview of
Sam Noir Samurai Detective #1 at Newsarama is a bit of a hard read.
Opera makes light work of it though. And the preview isn't making it an easy sell, the style at this stage isn't enough to warrant picking it up.
Could be in like
Wasteland #3. Where having already picked up the first two in this three part story makes walking away that less of a reason in sanity. On pause after this.

This man, this monster! Well, not really from that seminal Fantastic Four cover. More on the action shot of Ben Grimm though.
A rush of rocky blood to the right and it's another one of those hot shot statues from the studios of
Hard Hero.

Flying in and burning a few minutes of mindless clicking,
Super Hero Fight answers no real questions and serves no major purpose.
Nothing beyond the call of seeing which Marvel character would win in a fight against another Marvel character. An endless tourney where there is no ladder and the results are always shown before the chance to click blindfolded.
Disclaimer on the site says that there are
DC people flitting about. Damn it if the images aren't all from
the red guys though.
