Moving quick through the first few days in the aftermath, the situation looks clear enough that the void is ever present. Nice front and centre representation from Steel, holding things down for the most part.
Having not read any of the smashing universe mess of
Infinite Crisis, it would be easy enough to figure out that something with a crazy plane breaking Superboy is responsible for the
current state of affairs in the DC Universe.
Steel's solid head keeping things civil and calm and trying to balance is so opposite that of Booster Gold's gallivanting about. Quite the mood and the revelation at the issue's end a slight miff. Still, not being an avid DC reader, couldn't care less about the situation.
Though that nose bleed is intriguing.

Clearing out to closing time at the store, the section just outside the court house, library and power juice stores was blocked off. For what, who knows. A band of yoyos were spinning their tricks and missing opportunities in telling passers-by all sorts of tales and stories.
Clocking off for the day under the mask (dripping a little as it were),

the temptation to run over and ask the police cops what the deal was soon snapped back into sense. Running toward the police in this mask?
V For Vendetta looks to be drawing its season at the box office to a close. Looking over the session times at the cinema down in Westfields, there are none. George Street, however, are up with the goods and still showing a few more days at least. Probably enough for a week.
When V's gone, a good chance that working behind the counter will be without a mask. In time then for the next big comic book movies,
X-Men 3: The Last Stand and
Superman Returns.

Much like anything with a nose dipped in black oil, the spam hitting the box offers the usual suspects. Drugs cheaper than the back streets, software more official than official and degrees in obscure markets and propositions. Every now and then, an email comes through looking to do less than that and more at the same time.
Such as pimp a book and/or movie
about to hit or hit again.
Langdon looked again at the fax an ancient myth confirmed in black and white.
The implications were frightening. He gazed absently through the bay window.
The first hint of dawn was sifting through the birch trees in his backyard,
but the view looked somehow different this morning. As an odd combination of fear and
exhilaration settled over him, Langdon knew he had no choice
The man led Langdon the length of the hangar. They rounded the corner onto the runway.
Escapes the filters for sure. But doesn't really add any notoriety points on behalf of the faked sender and header info. Unfortunately, these kinds of emails never do complete the story or even go about as the kindly send the rest in full context. Such a great opportunity lost.

For just the month of May this year,
Devil's Due Publishing are running a free comic book promotion. Only catch is, you have to rip off the cover of a recent comic from either Marvel or DC.
Sounds interesting and rather costly for the slightly curious. The sheer act of having to deface a comic in the first place notwithstanding, it's an intriguing promo. One that may very well only be worth seeing what kind of stationary/envelope the comic from the horned ones comes in.
At least there'll be something to look forward to. Even if the incoming comic turns out to be as iffy as the outgoing.
Now, to work out which comic will fall down in the act of playing this game...

For all intents and purposes May 11 seems like a nice catch up for some. Recent in their minds, like a month ago is still fresh in their application banks. Out of nowhere and they make mention of something akin to just off the other day. Well, it could be, but it isn't. Not when there's a whole month in between. And with no contact to boot.
After
Spider-Girl #98 it'll be two issues left before the very probable end. Never collected it religiously during the start. Wasn't too crazy about the taste during the bulk of the run. Got a little into it a year ago but now looking to join in on the ride out with the waves. Strange that. Like collecting
Cerebus and
Bone at the end.
Oh, and
Ex Machina #20. For the sake of reading something solid and relatively heavy compared to Mayday Parker's adventures. Relatively. Just like a month being recent for some.
