Remembered one time at an OzCon, probably OzCon 7, trying to score as many freebies as possible from the MAD magazine booth. Badges, couple of magazines and that was it. And, there signing away a few of the mags, Chris Wahl.
Now
Chris Wahl has started his own art blog and decries it as a place for "...daily sketches, illustrations and some personally selected older pieces."
Which, if all other currents are to be tasted like they were dipped in the same gunk, might be a challenge. Especially on the daily ritual side of things. Bad feeling about reading out the intentions from the out set.
The count down is now on to the first lapse followed by an apologetic posting about not posting.

Steven Grant put out the call for any sort of question to be answered on his column at Comic Book Resources. Naturally, most of the ones that got through, or were sent, related to working in the comics industry or about his column.
So...
Sarcasm is often seen as the lowest form of wit. In a family analogy, it would be the one you leave to its own devices at a dinner, not paying much attention. What then of satire? Is it the one that leaves you feeling unsure and too set to say on either side of applause or dismissal?"
And the response:
Sarcasm is not the lowest form of wit. Sarcasm is the lowest form of irony. The lowest form of wit is generally considered to be the pun, though I would suggest the lowest form is superhero parody. At a dinner, satire would be the one that leaves you laughing.
Slips through!

March 23, let's see if it's another week inside the house, free from having to look at the sun and step off site, across the line of the boundary.
Billy West came out with the news that there was new FUTURAMA. Then later retracted that statement on account of not having all the right news and information. But the DVD movies are still going ahead. And at the very least, there's still
Futurama Comics #24. A comic that looks like it was on 22 for three consecutive issues.
Sonic The Hedgehog #160 looks mighty tempting. But who knows where the relationships are at this point. That little hussy of a community seems to be getting a little too busy with itself, all them furries running naked and all.

Cranking code to tweak and rip out some sense of the
tagging system on the site is one way to find out about functions never before seen.
Put merely as a gibberish line of text, the keywords in the tags are nothing more than a mess to wade through. Working out how to put the flavour of links and sense in frequency a little on the hard side. Thankfully, there's such a thing as pre-made functions.
array_count_values()
Messy array getting things down? Run this and the nasty nasty gets itself sorted out with a tally of appearances. Great for working out how many times a word pops up in an array.
array_keys()
When the sorting is out and done, running this juice keys up a fresh order on the array, spitting out a new one for good measure. This one is right for making more sense, given that the order will find out how to step in line after each other.
Or at least, that's the thinking behind putting these two in a brand new script.

Thursday 16, and it's like tomorrow never gets here fast enough. And at the same time, like it's also here way too soon. Today smells like crazy, the big kids in the neighbourhoods assert their bravado by bashing up the kids half their size. Bravo indeed. Want to know which ethnics are doing this?
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #6 appears to be the only one of the lighter hearted series of Spider-Man comics shooting out. As such, it's one reason for picking it up as a long time Spider-Man fan.
Truth, Justin and American Way #1 looks interesting. Whether or not it's interesting enough to pay money for is another issue. This one perhaps. Just a drop.

Thursday 9 watches on as another ticket into the fray attempts to wrestle something may go awry. Hilarity and wasting of time to ensue. All without a certain charm. Where the hell in Newtown is behind the doors of The Hub anyway?
Stink hole.
Ultimate Spider-Man #91 continues another part of another arc that seems to never really open an end to closing within quick succession. Fine, whatever, linger on the hot rocks, the heat won't kill you.
Tight, one story in one sitting without the feeling having only read a page from some time,
Fell #4.
American Virgin #1 looks interesting in that gunk on the top of your tongue kind of way. Basically a virgin who is out for marriage to rip the bed shred is faced with the possibility of dying without spilling the juices on more than tissue. Looking at the temptation, there's chances high of a read on morals without bashing about the face.
