Might rain with intense humidity on the day of January 12 with the next load of comics and merchandise set to hit. Might just be stinking in a population of sweat.
Beck's
Girl sounds like it's on skip and may very well be part of the whole sound of the track. Who knows? It might even be part of an alien invasion force come bearing DNA and more inventions to up the stakes since Velcro.
Whatever the case may be, nothing from this week's shipping list seems enticing enough. Such as it is, there are that many weeks in the year, and this is just one of them.

And here the madness starts for another year. Hopefully this shipment expected for January 5 will hit when it's expected. Not like the last two batches from last year. Crazy times weeding through two week's worth of comics and merchandise without more than a day to breathe.
Forget that though, it's time for some cracking
Doc Frankenstein #4. The Wachowskis were a little delayed what with their
V For Vendetta adaptation, but hey, a great comic's a great comic, and with the delay, it means the burning of money isn't as frequent.
Then there's
The Exterminators #1. From the solicit, following the lives of pest hitmen seems intriguing, and almost interesting enough for a buy.
Astonishing X-Men Saga #1 looks like there wasn't a reason to buy the first twelve issues on Whedon and Cassaday's run. So then, what's the point?
On the edge,
Marlene #1. Why in the hell did they all happen to look like number ones outside the freak with the bolts in his neck and stitches in his scalp?

December 22 and after that one more week before the end is so very here. One more shipping list before the roll over into 2006, that is if they don't keep pushing this and the next back a few. Those damned passenger concerns. Priorities and all that.
So many comics hitting the shelves and so many not that shout-out-and-burn-the-crotch interesting. (That may be some other condition totally unrelated to comics.)
Anyway, enough talk of that region. Best thing coming in for the week?
BTVS Angel 21 inch Angel Puppet plush. Swoon. Ever seen the "Smile Time" episode of
Angel? No? Well, it's like the Boreanaz getting his muppet on and spending the entire episode like that. For those who don't mind the junkies thinking you're carry a real muppet inside.

December 15, and with that, only two weeks to go before the end of the year. Not only that, but the 15th will be the first weekday behind the counter. Beware those looking for coherent conversation, you will be left astounded in the silence of trying to comprehend the half.
At least then time to play catch up is here. Nothing, just nothing on the list coming in this week is getting a buy. They're getting a bye.

December 8 and after that, only three more weeks before 2006 rolls around. Oh damn, what a treacherous year indeed.
Outside of
Ultimate Spider-Man #87, there won't be anything else getting picked up.
Sure,
Hard Time looks good, but so does staying above, looking to remain conscious above the weight of all the comics yet to be read and this damned heat. The heat! The heat! My god, man! The Heat!

Damn that was quick. Feels like it was only twelve months since the last time it was December.
In any event,
Fell #3 is the only trick to pick for the week. A comic that needs no introduction, needs no hang of previous issues and needs no sympathy. Quick, cheap and satisfying. Like blowing off a toe itchy from the gangrene.
