From the looks of Jaime Pressly swinging a contortion as she fly kicks through the air,
DOA: Dead Or Alive looks classy and nothing like
Tekken. Never played the game before, and from what memory serves, was basically about volleyball and being sent large image files from other players with creative screen caps of it.
Looks like
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #12 might be a good point to step off and call it a match. Word is that with the series not really looking that crash hot, it's about time to cut the unread and move to other titles or even companies.
Such as the promising look of
Cross Bronx #1 from Mike Oeming. Wary of this though, the cover image mentions something about "four issues monthly." Doesn't feel good with that year long DC Comics project, can't see it being too convincing in any other field.
(In it for a second, but it's an easy call on the voice and quick glimpse of
Sarah Carter in the ads for the movie.)

End of the month on August 31 and still feeling a little whacked out and walking on corked muscles after the massive sale weekend celebrating the reopening. Something like a flurry, but not of the McDonald's kind where they throw in Crunchies and M&Ms.
Now, if the first issue was anything to go by, then
Boys #2 should be up there with the brutal and roughness. Superheroes get no free run here and the scenes are just hog wild. Cork damn it's a fun read.
On another tangent and another stream is
Kabuki #7. Where, if it does hit the shelf, continues on the weird trip through building a new life and telling that story in a variety of paints. Most of which aren't paint.
Another comic that would be only ever on the shelves rarely and less some is
Doc Frankenstein #5. Can't remember a lick of the trick, but the pencils are Steve Skroce, and anything this guy does, bang it on the counter and wrap it up!

August 17 appears to offer nothing much entirely exciting or already interested from a few months back.
There's
The Boys which Garth Ennis cites to out-Preacher
Preacher. High ideals indeed, possibly money-changing interesting.
Flimsy newspaper
Comic Shop News hits its one hundredth issue. All these issues and still making the fold over of the paper bag hard as ever. Unless of course the comics inside are rather stocky. And then it's not too much of a problem.

Turns out that buying some socks isn't all that easy. Not when the numbers all look the same. Some kind of problem in that area. And with August 10 comes the realisation that an unfilled Census form can actually fill itself out. What religion is the
Flying Spaghetti Monster?
Of slightly elevated interest is
The Escapist #2. Picking up the first issue was cheap, like a US dollar so. Quick glance at the pages of that and it looks like a winner. Who's to say that the second issue wouldn't be?
Damn socks. Why isn't there an easier guide? It can be simpler.

Bit of a little rumble in the stomach of the shipping of late. Looks like the next load is set for August 5. A Saturday for those keeping up to date with the calendar. Making it one of us.
As rank as this whole Spider-Man revealing his secret identity goes, the ramifications are still pretty far ahead to otherwise disturb the reading. In any event,
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #11 sees appearances from Flash Thompson and Mysterio. Flash was last in a vegetative state on the read pile. That's how long it's been since picking up the reading on the regular flavour Spidey mythos. That is if the veg is walking and talking about of his own volition.
There's a pot smoker some how connected in the events of
Ex Machina #22. Part two of a four part story. Trying to roll a comic into a joint or other spliff like shape is a bit of a hard task. Forget trying it on something slabbed by the
CGC.

Round, round, round, round. Last week's bumped load is in store, and here's hoping that the next movement coming for July 27 doesn't clog up the back end like a month without fibre. Coincidentally, about a month out now from the moving sale at the new digs.
Highlander #0 is specially priced, perhaps? Not like being under a US dollar to stop it jumping into the pile. And there can be more than one, but that'd be speculative and distasteful.
On and off reading the main, the spin-off of
Jack of Fables sounds like an interesting read.
Futurama Comics #26 looks rather familiar. Like as if it's already in the collection. Maybe it already is. Tracking software for comics is useless without actually updating the records as soon as possible. Getting bad? Getting worse.
