Cerebus flavoured tag-o-muffin servings
Anything and nothing and everything in between with tangents or topics on the subject of Cerebus.
For other things to take your fancy, there are other tags.
Finally, someone rips off the month of May from the calendar to reveal June. That's pretty late. Any hoo, June 15, and a movie about gymnastics,
Stick It, with that girl from
Our Generation/American Dreams. Looks like a nice smack in the groin from the bar.
Double the goodies in
Archie And Friends #101. So we have the Veronicas pick up the other half of their two-parter appearance from the previous issue. Add to that, Katy Keene. Whoever she is. Well, when you start picking up a comic on a gimmick...
Another half of a two-parter is
Ex Machina Special #2. Nice for those who already have the first issue of this special. That wouldn't be many though.
Much like collecting the last few issues of
Cerebus and
Bone,
Spider-Girl #99 is only one more issue away from the end of it all. After that, it'll be something like
Strangers In Paradise. That too is drawing the curtains.
And the thing about the nose relates to nothing inbetween.

June 19 watches on as two series start up as two minis walk away done and finished with their respective tales.
Giant Size X-Men #3 reprints some old classic mutant tales featuring stories that manage to start and end in the same issue. Only four tales of reprints in 80 pages. Staples set to strain! Wallet set to faint! Also includes a new chunk from Joss Whedon and Neal Adams.
Definitely picking up Ex Machina #12. It's solid, intriguing, the characters are well-fleshed out and the art is top notch for capturing the moment.
Trigger #7 is either the penultimate or the final issue. Either way, this series is dead. Been an interesting read though.
Both Freedom Force #6 and Captain Gravity and Power Of The Vril #5 are closers. Can't say much about FF, it's issues were always too frenetic and jumpy to have any real linearity within the pages. CG&PV however, should end things nicely. Back issues are available on Captain Gravity these should the desire to read from the last issue first be there.
Following Cerebus #4 is due which now means that #1 and #2 still haven't been read. So no chance on picking this one up.
G.I. Joe #0 is some ground floor material. Just like Wildsiderz #0. The former, eh, can't be bothered trying to get into the 80s anymore. Outside of music that is. The latter looks promising and pretty fun.

February 27 is calling, and these are tempting some prawns to be hung out on the line. No, that's worms...
Futurama #1
Harking back to times when money was scant and fun was still around, the re-order of
Futurama Comics #1 seems like a good chance to pick it up. Coming in on the end of the latest issue of said series, and at the end of a time-travelling arc, why not? Not like there's going to be any new
Futurama cartoons being made now is there? Sure, the trades are all well and good, but this is a comic with a letters page. And you don't get that in trades. Unless of course you're waiting for that monster of a Cerebus letters collection later in the year.
The Matrix Comics volume 1
Missed this one the first time around. Lingering and conflicting thoughts and expectations: Get it. Don't get it. Pay for it, wait for a sale. Such indecision led to the eventual evaporation from the shelves. Like as if nobody really ordered enough to cover the demand. And there was a demand. Back before the Wachowski brothers started to introduce the rest of the mythology. Not to say that it was all bad. Just a little unwieldy at the seams. Feeling good things about this one.
Amazing Spider-Man #517
Falling a little behind on the reading of this one. Last issue read was the finale of that horrendously sacrilegious -- since canon is holy -- "Sins Past"
Invincible #20
Might grab this if the hands are quick enough. Short ordered. The strength of the taste based on the fact that the first trade,
Family Matters, was a fun, solid and punchy read.
Following Cerebus #3
Not too sure about the zine. Haven't touched #1 and only read a few pages of #2. Also, haven't even read much
Cerebus outside the very last issue. Still have those two free signed copies as part of that Dave Sim experiment carried out through
Neil Gaiman's site.
