One of the bad things about being closed Mondays is that the public holidays often, more often than not weirdly enough, fall on Mondays. So when public holidays are popping up along the year, it's a blah thing when they do step up at the front end of the working week. No real difference here at the Comic Shop.

Not all the public holidays ruefully fall at the start of the week. Sweet Christmas indeed this year with Christmas Day and Boxing Day, not to mention New Year's Day, all in the middle of the week. Tack Monday on with the public holiday and that's half the week gone really.

Good time of the year to spend half the week not even working. As if people are really working right now. Not if you can get away with it.

Not such a good time on the comics shipment though. Shipping usually being affected by delays due to flying in from the States. Not too bad though. A day is the norm for the lateness.

Let's see how the planes with the boxes of comics and merch goodness hits this year round.

For the commercials, that obese load known as Santa Claus should have gone and done his loads by now. No flight delays exist for him.

Please and thank you is such a lost art of communication in the world of sneaking in and running out with a guilt ridden face. More so when picking through the lucky dip which is not exactly a lucky dip to pick and run out with.



Homer Simpson, greeting those who enter this Easter lead up period, decked out in sun hat and BBQ apron, holds onto a basket of big plastic eggs.

Inside those eggs, chocolate eggs that people find melts in their mouth. Or in their hand. Or in the back pocket after having forgotten the fact that it has been left there in the first place.

One week remains to the Easter period, where the Comic Shop will be closed over the public holidays of Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Monday.

Would be nice to see the basket at hold onto at least one egg come the end of said period. It's looking thin right now.
