Tastes like water this rain does, only it also tastes like the dirt and dust that fills the air all year and all day long. Harsh stuff that, gets into the lungs and does quite a number. Worse still when the clothes feel a little heavy from the weight of the water seeping in during the walk home or from the car to the door for those with vehicles chugging along in the rain.
And walking to the end is
Strangers In Paradise #90. Another one of those independent comics that takes to itself and finds the voice and light at the end of the tunnel years on. Reads are great in those pocket book editions, nifty and easy to walk about with a dose of SiP romance. And it does entertain.

One thing to note when sleeping on the desk of a corporate environment is that there inevitably will be the rustling of other peoples pants and dress skirts. Especially if the desk in cushion (HA!) is in the main thoroughfare. Best find that nook underneath the desk where the shadows lie.
March 8 and here in begins the count down to the final days of daylight savings. Or Daylight Savings. However it feels it needs to be addressed. As salient a point as it appears to be on the calendars of those who look forward to idiot kids in the streets playing extended hours. Enough.
Now, Strangers In Paradise #88, puts the series two away from the end of it all. Closing out the chapter of their lives that has gone on for so long. Haven't been reading it in the single issue form, merely picking it up as a spectacle. More of Moore is absorbed in the collected and pocket book editions. Such a tasty treat of human emotion that be.

Flying back from Melbourne on a few hours of total sleep makes for a head full of jazz and not really that much hurt. It's an amazing feeling ride that crest into sanity. Watching out for the break is where the marshmallows come in and you can never melt enough marshmallows on a slice of bread.
Comics hitting the store on September looks likely to be a light affair. Only reason to pick up Strangers In Paradise #84 is to run it down into the end of the series. Where Terry Moore takes Katchoo and Francine and the rest of the SiP crew out of the ongoing.

One chapter left on the third
Strangers in Paradise pocket book. A twisty yarn that started off oh so simple and sweet. Diving toward the end it was certainly not that kind of bore. Events went balls out of its mind midway through and the characters are growing and learning, a strange feeling, a welcome change to the reading. This is good stuff. Really seeing that connection with the people. Emotional as they are.
The final chapter was tackled on the train. A dreary place which for the past few weeks has been very conducive to sleep. Very. Staying awake is pretty hard when there are people eyeing off that slim spot on the seats.
A location and scene wherein a stranger sits down on the left and opens up an issue of
The Phantom to read. From the look of the weight, it wasn't the recently released monster issue. More on the side of a regular fat one. Still, it was odd to experience this. Sure bet he didn't know what comic was on his right.
There is no train of sense.
