Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, is a billionaire with a shoe fetish. Only in his case, it's a suit of armour instead of a closet of pumps, heels and sling backs. And another. And another. A suite of suits if you will.

Let's face it, he's got a gallery of Iron Man suits that rivals the count of Imelda Marcos' shoes in any decade. One for ice climate missions, one for Rhodey, one for public speaking engagements, one for every day of the year almost.

He is Iron Man and he knows how to accessorise.

Bust a handful of three Iron Man mini-busts sculpted by the hands of The Kucharek Brothers and Eric Chan for Bowen Designs.

It's enough to make you think about how to mix and match those platforms with the trend for sandals.

 

Here comes everyone's favourite five-foot hairy X-Man; Wolverine!

Sculpted by Randy Bowen himself, this classic museum tiger-stripe version features the yellow costume with the black tiger-stripes.

Wolvie stands over twelve inches tall and is ready for display!

Jade Jaws, he of the purple pants that stay on despite sudden explosions in the shorts region, represents the green monster in all of us. No, not the one about envy or jealousy. That's another green monster for another discussion at another unspecified time. It's the monstrous outrage in life and grabbing it by the cojones.

From Bowen Designs, this mini bust is sculpted by Randy Bowen himself. Also out in a grey version that isn't of the Mr Fixit hat and tie.

Hulk, the alter-personality of Bruce Banner, doesn't hold much in terms of patience. But see the size of his hands though? Means he can hold a lot in his palm. Big stomach for life with a monkey grip stronger than an orangutan. Like hours and hours cranking that hand-flex hand-muscle-crunch-thing strong.

Take to life like Hulk takes to puny humans. Smash it open and run wild.

This week's merchandise feature is the Lizard statue, this is another masterpiece coming from Bowen Designs. This statue stand over twelve inches tall and is limited to a thousand pieces worldwide. It also comes fully painted and ready to display. Everything about this statue screams "buy me" (well it does to me lol). Awesome sculpt, the tail being one of his best features.

The Lizard character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in Amazing Spider-Man #6 in 1963.

 

From the pages of Uncanny X-Men and as a member of Canada's premiere super-team, Alpha Flight introduces Shaman. Also known as Michael Twoyoungmen, he was trained as a magician from his grandfather in shamanic tradition and given a powerful medicine pouch, one that housed a pocket dimension and from which he could draw forth nearly anything he could imagine.

Another superb display of quality statue craft. This mini bust was made by Bowen Designs and sculpted by Jim Maddox. It is 6 inches tall and limited to 1500.

 

Bowen Designs presents: the Beast from the X-Men painted statue. Sculpted by Erick Sosa with Randy Bowen. This statue stands over 12 inches tall, limited to 1200, hand painted and ready to display. This version of the Beast is from the X-Men and has an X-Men base. The Avengers version of the Beast is coming soon with a rock base and different head sculpt.

The way the Beast should always look. Hopefully this appearance of the Beast will return into the comic pages of the Marvel Universe soon. Also known as Dr. Hank McCoy, the Beast currently features in Astonishing X-Men (written by Joss Whedon) and in the Endangered Species series.
