Man with the Screaming Brain mini bust - sculpted by Sam Greenwell - Dark Horse
Nineteen years in the brewing,
Man With The Screaming Brain is basically a story about a greedy Americans who cross paths with the wrong type of gypsy. Mad science and double-brain-transplants ensue in a swamp full of horror and slight feelings of wrongness.
Such as the stupor from an overcast bender of the night before. Be it of the demon drink or too much of that Dr Pepper stuff that leaves the body shivering and quaking in its little cotton boots.
Or the dehydrated after effects of wrenching your skull between two blocks for a vice. Headaches all around in either case and like Tic Tacs, aspirin flies from bottle to mouth and down the throat.
Even late nights breaking into the early morning are ripe for making the brain feel like it needs to stretch in more space than the skull will allow. Sleep, though, is not for the restless. Or those on another type of pill.

Man with the Screaming Brain #1 (of 4); written by Bruce Campbell and David Goodman
Reaction over
DC comics's new logotype sent buzzes around with people trying to guess which laundry product the new look DC stamp best sold them. From discussions over full granule or powdered mix to the expected fragrance of flowers and honey as they pull their clothes out from the dryer, there was only one certainty. That the 70-year-old standing DC bullet, designed by Milton Glaser, is to be no more.
Such crazy fury was the dismay of ardent hockey fans clashing with comicbook fans, that the universes outside the confines of DC comics were affected. Even Dark Horse's
Man with the Screaming Brain looks set to cash in on the extreme of babble and gook of spectators shielding their eyes from the new light of branding.
Incidentally: "
Man with the Screaming Brain tells the story of a wealthy American businessman determined to exploit the crippled economy of a former Soviet state now torn between communist roots and capitalist greed. [Bruce] Campbell's character hits on the wrong gypsy girl and lands in the grip of a mad scientist determined to get rich off a twisted brain-transplant scheme worthy of Dr. Frankenstein."
The synergy of ruckus and conjecture has created a leap from one comic book company to another. Some people cannot handle discussions based purely on personal affection.
