"Just a joke," exclaims Byron, as he watches as the body of his long time associate, Gary, is rushed to the nearby No Mercy hospital.
What started out as an ordinary midday prank turned ugly when Gary, unaware of being the mark, found himself clutching to what he thought was his heart. Instead of the meaty folds underneath his shirt, a baby pineapple. One that he'd forgotten to eat earlier that morning with his Extra-Flo bran cereal. The resultant sharp pain from the spikes sent Gary into preliminary shock.
Walking up to the scene in a home-made costume, his friend Byron started yelling declarations and warnings such as, "They have found you!" and "Police are coming with laser dogs!" This sudden burst of noise is believed to have been the secondary trigger, two halves to a stone and the wailing ambulance was soon calling.
Records show that the two have been wanted in a string of recent car thefts -- mostly miniature and model versions -- possibly what triggered such a response.
Gary remains on blue jelly and a frozen solid waterbed.
