Lockheed over Captain Flint on the shoulder roost

That little dragon what hangs with Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) of the X-Men is known as Lockheed. A purple alien from another world fetching the fine looks of other over the shoulder companions.

Captain Flint on the other hand, is the name of the parrot of Long John Silver. Complete with carpenters for prosthetists, they of the world from Treasure Island. Pirates and treasure and booty crows with no phones involved.

Not everyone's cut out or comfortable having a creature hover over their shoulders, reading their newspapers, smelling their hair or carving up a notch or two deep in the skin and muscle.

Dragons breathe fire and brimstone. Lockheed seems to be a slight bit empathic. Parrots spout wise cracks with a limited repertoire of curses and profanity in for the mix. Captain Flint might not be a Norwegian Blue but it's not unlikely to be in the same kind of refundable state.

Other options besides tiny dragons and foul-mouthed parrots are out there. Such as cats with cheesy grins and chips for those angry at the world.

Drink spirits to breathe out fire

Keeping a dragon as a pet poses many problems. First of which being their non-existence in this current plane and realm of the universe.

Other problems which may result in the domestication include the size restrictions upon your residence. With dragons known to fly about on either their massive or tiny wing spans, the need for spacious quarters is paramount to their well-being.

Another is the supposed diet regime favoured. Considered to be the foe of many knights of yore, sourcing a shining armour could prove a tricky task. However, with the yearly proclamations by the Queen with rolling Knights of the British Order still a living procession, one hurdle that might not be too hard after all.

Keep in mind, when looking for a dragon as a pet, the breathing of fire may prove hazardous to your ultimate health. Especially in homes without working fire alarms.

Social experiments start from boredom. Fantasies and fiction are born from minds wanting more than just this reality. Put the two together and find the cover of Dragonlance: Chronicles.

Adapting the mega-popular first novel in the Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy: Dragons of Autumn Twilight! An age of despair has dawned for the world of Krynn. As dark forces marshal their growing strength, fear and religious fanaticism grips the land. With war on the horizon, a group of lifelong friends are reunited - all outcasts in their own way. It will fall to these eight Companions to prevent a cataclysm!

Fight back against the world that would capture your souls. Start walking around in full length robes and costumes.

Instead of waiting for passersby on the street and cars to point to you with sheer mirth stuck in a boots of a quandry, point with all gusto.

Point to them and spew forth the Elvish, Klingonese or other worldly languages known only to those within the clans.

Reactions will be mixed.
