Midnight confidential power freshmen to next end

Some think they're born to dance, shakin' like they don't know what they're waiting for. Shakin' like they're bakin' ice, it's cold, it's flawed. Inside, outside, inside, outside, at least when you're with Midnighter you know where he's standing. Outside and proud.

From the pages of the Authority comes the Midnighter, the world's most lethal weapon, in a new Worldstorm series written by Garth Ennis (PREACHER, THE BOYS) with art by the acclaimed team of Chris Sprouse & Karl Story (TOM STRONG)!

The Midnighter, returning from a mission in war-torn Afghanistan, is accosted as he enters the Carrier. Something is terribly wrong; these unseen assailants take him down too easily and then drag him though the teleportation door to an unknown location. After regaining consciousness he is given a cryptic choice: either kill a mass murderer or die!

Midnighter #1 - Wildstorm Comics

Darwyn Cooke and Tim Sale take a hit for six as they look through key points in the life of the one with an S curl in Superman: Confidential. First up on the block from DC Comics, Kal-El in the path of radioactive chunks of Krypton.

MC2 three times four and the A-Next crew are back in action with Avengers Next. From the stables of Marvel Comics, Tom DeFalco and Ron Lim check up on the team as they battle zombies (got brain?) before choosing a new line up.

Marc Sumerak and Gurihiru chaperone a field trip with Marvel's youngest super heroes as they join Spidey in Spider-Man And Power Pack. Well, that whole midsection of the first sentence was rather superfluous doncha think? Verily.

Harris Publications are still vampire strong with Vampirella: Intimate Visions. Featuring the work of Joe Jusko it's the must have for the Jusko fan. And of those who like reference points on cosplay costumes with bare fabric.

End of the road for Marvel's first family in Fantastic Four: The End. Alan Davis takes the wheel of the Fantasticar to see how the break up of the FF shatters the entire galaxy.

Brian Pulido and Gabriel Guzman press the flesh from Avatar Press as Lady Death faces Stygmata in Lady Death Blacklands. It'll be questionable as Stygmata consists of liquid blood. Not the solid kind or the gassy kind. Is it gas? No.

From Top Cow Studios, second verse, darker than the first and the college flunky super heroes return for their sophomore year in Freshmen II. Hugh Sterbakov and Will Conrad spitting wads of paper through straws with the hapless crew accompanied by a talking beaver.

Archaia Studios Press crack out The Killer with Matz and Luc Jacamon flying flanks. First of ten, it's coming up on a 7-9 split and that's just an analogy out of thin air.

Jonathan Hickman says good night and good luck with The Nightly News from Image Comics. Watch the news and make sure you're not the one they're talking about. It could get hairy. Like eating a Chinese gooseberry/kiwi fruit whole.

Apocalypse - Marvel Legends - Series 12 - The Apocalypse Series
Apocalypse - Marvel Legends - Series 12 - The Apocalypse Series
Down in the dumps like an ever frowning Apocalypse? Then just get that plastic surgeon (or tattooist) to fix up the permanent make up and turn that clown upside down. Radioactive warning signs may occur.

For the rest, like the big bad Egyptian of X-Men lore, the world ages on and on. Unlike blue En Sabah Nur, not everyone has access to the regenerative powers and benefits of a personal sarcophagus.

Those looking to keep their skin and body in a relative state of springiness should keep in mind that the sun does the most in leathering that skin. Beating down with the harsh UV rays, the giant ball of fire up in the sky is free for the solar power nuts, and turns quite a nice profit for those in the skin care business.

Short of staying inside and underground until dusk, like the many vampires walking around with toothpicks, there are so many simple precautions. Long sleeves, sunscreen, walking in the shade and caking that make up are just some.

Goths always seem to have nice skin don't they? Do they collect higher premiums on the cannibal menu?

At some point, people who think about wearing all leather attire also think about dusting themselves down with talcum powder.

And then there are other people who point out to time that powdering up is good for the main, but with enough sweat, no amount of talc is enough to provide a smooth ride. There aren't many who can pull off an all leather ensemble.

Get ready for an action-packed new Danger Girl miniseries, written by series co-creator Andy Hartnell with art by talented newcomer Nick Bradshaw and a stunning cover by fan-favorite artist J. Scott Campbell!

When a powerful and mysterious Native American artifact is stolen, Danger Girls Abbey Chase and Sydney Savage go undercover and burn rubber to infiltrate an all-girl biker gang! From the black hills of Sturgis to the white sands of Daytona Beach, Abbey and Sydney take a wild ride into the dangerous world of espionage, motorcycles and black magic!

With this many twists and turns in the road ahead, can the Danger Girls solve the mystery in time? Join us in this full-throttle tale of action and adventure that only your favorite sexy super-spies can deliver!

Speaking of people in leather and on hot bikes, Marvel's Ghost Rider miniseries is still blazing through. Those interested in the artwork of Nick Bradshaw best pick up a copy of Dynamite Entertainment's Army of Darkness for a sampling of the fine and kooky cartoony work.

New acid wash proves too caustic

For biker enthusiast and alleged occultist, Johnny Blaze, a trip to the new carwash turned out to be more than just an ordinary buff and stuff.

Dialling in for a hot wax and high sheen buff at the Morspon complex, Blaze was all set for his vehicle's run through the recently erected carwash. Trolling up behind a black van with tinted windows and no plates, mere minutes would pass before the bubble of soap suds and whipping chamois would give way to blood curdling screams and a man set on fire.

Witnesses and pool hall junkies at the scene claim Blaze had entered with a helmet before rolling out the other side with his head stripped clean of its flesh and licks of fire dancing about his skull. Testing negative, the witnesses also mention an unidentified vehicle speeding away moments prior to the accident.

Police suspect Blaze may have been an unfortunate casualty following a case of mistaken identity. Danny Ketch, a biker with a similar style -- and who has been known to cause grief to the local gangs and underworld figures -- may have been the intended target. A spokesperson for the Morspon Group refused to comment, but instead offered all at the scene a voucher for a month's membership to the roped off carwash scene under investigation.
