Crossing arms and misreading the sinister world

Face offs happen everywhere. Not the kind with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta swapping skin, but the kind where two or more people are in company, talking or not talking to each other.

Business, relationships, stand-offs with the delivery guy come late and with broken and dented packages, it's everywhere and anywhere. And it's the non verbal parts that open up a little on the conversation at hand.

Reading the game is all about reading the other person, and key to that is where they're holding their arms. For instance, those with their arms crossed are said to be defensive and guarded about themselves and the situation.

Never once do they who write those guides think of the people whose arms are freakishly fused in such a fashion. They could be opening up, but people who read body language wouldn't know.

World domination trumps highs of sugar rush

Bodies of the dead getting you down?
Destruction and mayhem finding its way into your life without your consent?
Are you run down in the morning no matter how many hours of sleep you miss/get?

When commemorations for the end of World War II and the Victory in the Pacific is not proving that great a taste, think about grabbing some juice elsewhere.

Even Johan Schmidt -- better known as the Red Skull, arch-nemesis of Captain America -- figures that with a little bit of world domination in hand, a sugar rush pales in comparison.

Quick tips on getting that boost of power others might find in a cosmic cube.
  • Drink lots of water - the body needs to constantly flush like a leaky toilet. Toxins in the body are done away with with regular litres of clean drinking water.
  • Stay away from the vodka. Just because it looks like water doesn't mean it is.
  • Eat just - slow down there with the buffet. Staying a hand or plate away from totally full will keep your body from being weighed down trying to digest and process.
  • Sleep often - essential for any body looking to stave off psychosis.
  • Forgo sleep entirely - some of the most energetic mad men and women are both mad as cut snakes and have a few roos loose in the top paddock.
  • Read up on Sun Tzu and exercise the sayings. Sooner or later one will hit and all will be revealed. Inspiration is gold for a rush of energy.
