Wonder Woman bust - Women of the DC Universe - designed by Terry Dodson - sculpted by Jack Mathews - DC Direct
And you could possibly lose your head. For a safer option, check out the
DC Direct mini bust instead. Sculpted by Jack Mathews, based on the artwork of Terry Dodson, this Wonder Woman mini bust is part of the "Women of the DC Universe" line-up.
Notice Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman of the Amazons, taking off her glasses with a hand ripping off her own shirt. Preparing to enter a battle as she drops her civvies and into the star-spangled costume with the bracelets and Lasso of Truth.
Fighting against people with glasses and bifocals is for some reason, a no-no. Not just that people who where bifocals are of the older set. It's a thing about hitting someone in the face who wears glasses for vision and not the ones guarding against the sun.
What of the rules about putting on your own pair of glasses to spar up against? Does that then level the playing field? Two bespectacled fighters surely has to be more acceptable than only one side wearing them.
What about fisticuffs etiquette going up against people with contact lenses? Aren't they wearing glasses of a nature? Is that a wrong thing to do as well? That could be way to get out of a lot of scraps. "Don't hit me, I'm wearing glasses. On the inside of my eyelids."
(Not condoning fighting here, just to make that as clear as a handful of sand in the face.)

Wonder Woman Annual #1; Writer Allan Heinberg with art by Terry Dodson
Finally, Wonder Woman Annual #1, the wait is over for the conclusion of Allan Heinberg (writer and producer of Grey's Anatomy); Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson's arc. This team relaunched the Wonder Woman series in 2006 with the events of One Year Later.
At long last, the climactic, extra-length chapter of "Who is Wonder Woman?", the story that launched the WONDER WOMAN monthly! In this arc's conclusion, the combined forces of Wonder Woman's transformed rogues gallery declare an all-out war on the amazing Amazon, compelling Wonder Woman to mend fences and join forces with Donna Troy and Wonder Girl if she's going to survive to answer the question: "Who is Wonder Woman?"
And if the return of Allan Heinberg and Terry Dodson isn't enough, there's also an all-new backup by Heinberg and the upcoming art team of ACTION COMICS, Gary Frank and Jonathan Sibal, featuring the secret origins of Wonder Woman, Donna Troy, Wonder Girl, Sarge Steel and Nemesis! All questions will be answered, all secrets revealed!
Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston (1941). Will Jessica Biel be Wonder Woman in the Justice League of America movie? Only time will tell. This movie will be directed by our very own George Miller (Mad Max & Happy Feet).

Amazons Attack #1 (of 6); written by Will Pfeifer, art and cover by Pete Woods
Took a horse to the end of the street, after which it started drinking from the trough made out of the backseat of a car. They were looking to hold a fishing contest there, but the rider was having none of that. Attack the watering hole it did, with much vigour and slurpage.
Oh, but where is the time for snu-snu?
Spinning out of the pages of Jodi Picoult's WONDER WOMAN comes the first major comics event of 2007! Well over a year has passed since the events of INFINITE CRISIS, including the retreat of the Amazons to the realm of the Gods. But now they're back, screaming for vengeance!
What could compel the Amazons to renounce their peaceful ways and attack America? The answers will prove useless to a country and hero population utterly unprepared for this savage attack. And where is Wonder Woman while all this is going on?
Written by Will Pfeifer (CATWOMAN, INFINITE CRISIS: THE SPECTRE) and illustrated by Pete Woods (SUPERMAN: UP, UP AND AWAY, SUPERMAN: BACK IN ACTION), this series unites the former Catwoman team for a story that will have devastating ramifications both in the present and all the way into 2008!
Amazons Attack #1 (of 6) from DC Comics
James L. White and Dalibor Talajic take one man's son, throw him into the white part of a non-black America and start running with
Hunter's Moon. That man, Lincoln "Linc" Greer, is a stockbroker, so this could be his very own bear market in five shares.
End of the camp fire, folks. Dwayne McDuffie and Pop Mhan send out the little fireball in
Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #35. Herein lies the conclusion to one chapter of the man of embers.
Scott and David Tipton with David Messina jump the warp speed fantastic in the ever tense world of the Federation (during the time of Captain James T. Kirk and his Enterprise crew) and the Klingon Empire in
Star Trek: Klingons: Blood Will Tell. For those into their variants and Klingonese, there is a version written in the rough tongue. Spanning five, it's a tale for all those to melt marshmallows over.
John Doe keeps on keeping on in the pages of
Se7en: Lust. The Beranek Brothers of Christian and Arthur with Steven Perkins go ripping some more back history as they go old school. Old school in the primary hood that is.

Fathom: Kiani #1 from Aspen MLT
First thing that quashes the mind is
Matt Huynh's alias in thinking of
Miscellaneous Adventures of Stykman. Certainly not the local, but a satirical take on the blooming muscle world of superheroes from Jonnie Allen. And yes, the thought does go big blue a little. That's a reference to The Tick by the way.
Virulents will see the terrorists turn into demons and vampires. Because they suck enough energy and blood from the world, let's get physical, the mind is swimming in sleeplessness. Shamik Dasgupta and Ruben are laying in the thick globules of terror.
Everybody takes a choke hold on the lasso with
Wonder Woman #6 pulling it tight. Novelist Jodi Picoult gets in the head of Diana Prince as Drew Johnson and Ray Snider cover the skin.
Bring on the hurt, bring on the pain, it's a family kind of affair in a different feel in
Fantastic Four #544. Dwayne McDuffie, Paul Pelletier and Rick Magyar check out the new swap of the F4 quad as Black Panther and Storm slip in where Reed and Sue have voided. Left that is.
For those who missed out on the first pick up with the hoopla, and the furore and the "oh-my-gourd! it's all sold out!" and all,
Captain America #25 is back again on the shelves. How soon is now, Smiths? Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting on point.
Once more, with feeling and it's
Buffy the Vampire Slayer again on the shelves for those who were napping during the day time with the rest of the vamps. Joss Whedon, Georges Jeanty and Andy Owens running in the stake pack.

Wonder Woman #1; written by Allan Heinberg, art and cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson
Currently somewhere in the midst of pre-pre-production, Joss Whedon just turned in the script to the Wonder Woman feature film. Far from anything solid yet, actresses with names and histories are reportedly jumping all over trying to land the role. Probably won't happen if casting another "unknown" is in the cards.
Until the big screen, and after that little
neck breaking incident, Diana Prince makes it back from the wilds in the comics...
One year after the execution of Maxwell Lord and the earth-shattering events of INFINITE CRISIS, the DCU is still struggling to come to terms with its most powerful heroine. Is she a martyr or a murderer? A politician or a super hero?
Writer Allan Heinberg (Young Avengers, JLA, TV's The O.C. and Sex and the City) and artists Terry & Rachel Dodson (Marvel Knights: Spider-Man, Harley Quinn) provide surprising answers, giving Wonder Woman a fresh, sexy look and a bold new direction!
The series begins with the multi-part "Who Is Wonder Woman?" story arc, paying homage to the character's distinguished history while placing her firmly in the present with an all-new supporting cast, a brand-new mission, and a renewed sense of wonder.
A treat for longtime fans and a perfect jumping-on point for new readers, Wonder Woman #1 features the icon you know and love as you've never seen her before!
Marvel Comics unleash the embedded reporters to the
Civil War: Front Line. A ten part series down in the trenches of the Superhero Registration Act. Nothing to do with trademarks.
Yo, Joe, it's
GI Joe: Declassified from the bases of Devil's Due Publishing. Long time scribe Larry Hama comes back to work with the classic 80s troop.
It's an intergalactic battle between science and magic in the pages of
Manifest Eternity from Wildstorm Comics. Welcome to the future.
Slipping from the cracks of the Image 10th Anniversary Hardcover comes
Cyberforce. The origin issue breaking out the whole team raw.
In a galaxy far, far away, it's more than a hundred years since
Return of the Jedi. In Dark Horse's
Star Wars: Legacy. Jedi Forces hold onto hope with the last remaining heir to the Skywalker legacy. Everything you know, but nothing that you do.

52 Week 1; Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, Keith Giffen, Joe Bennett, Ruy Jose, Jack Jadson et al.
Strap on your sandals and buckle up those belts,
52 is the event that explains the events between DC's
Infinite Crisis event and the events of
One Year Later.
After the INFINITE CRISIS and before One Year Later, the DCU spent a year without Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. A year in which those heroes were needed more than ever as the fate of the world hung in the balance. Who stood up in their absence? And who sat out?
The story of DC's most eventful year ever can now be told as four of the hottest writers in comics -- Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid -- deliver an unprecedented weekly tale of death, danger, romance, intergalactic terror and the never-ending, universal meaning of heroism. Joined by storyteller Keith Giffen and cover artist J.G. Jones, 52 features art for the first month by Joe Bennett, Ruy Jose, and Jack Jadson.
Also, starting in Week #2: "The History of the DC Universe," a 10-part backup feature by Dan Jurgens and Art Thibert that takes you on a tour through the legendary past of the DCU.
52: A year without Superman; a year without Batman; a year without Wonder Woman...but not a year without heroes.
Were that not enough for you, Spider-Girl and her MC2 world face the possible universe ending events in
Last Planet Standing from Marvel Comics. Who knows if this really is the end for Mayday Parker.
Slave Labor pump out the
The Cemeterians. A group that will take any job, any where doing any thing. Including trudging through the sewers to do battle with mermaids.
Warren Ellis brings
Wolfskin with help from Avatar Press. Fusing heroic fantasy, Viking sagas and samurai fiction all in the same comic book blender. Chunks of meat optional for the salad eaters.
They won't fade away as the one shots come again from IDW Publishing. Right here of the Whedonverse,
Angel Spotlight: Illyria. Blue hair goes back and tries to make herself feel guilty about virtually blasting Fred out of existence.
Not working on zombies for once, Boom! Studios release
Cthulhu Tales. An anthology of stories inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
