Yellow skin over yellow bones

Quite the imp that yellow one from Frank Miller's Sin City. Maybe the kind of person you see born out of wedlock. Ferocious little hobbit.

Anyhoo, for anybody wondering what jaundice looks like if it's left on for far too long to ravage the body, gander no further. Of course, it's quite the extreme case when compared to the sickly sick of others walking around with a yellowish tint to their skin. And especially if they're not of the Springfieldians what escaped from tree house vortex.

Watch out later this month, they may very well be out and about on the heels of the upcoming and long-munched for movie. Oh, but bite into a real-life Simpsons character and what do you have? Quite the mess of the shirt front.

A bib for you, sir?

Talk to the hand with the Iron Fist

Shirts off and start the quick hand gestures. Kung fu is a serious work out that tears seams it seems in the clothes and standing. Ultimate player hater stand, the martial arts with a focus on the hands is the high point of cutting down a situation. Far more powerful than snapping and clicking the fingers in a Z.

Oh, no you didn't...

Many years ago, in the mystical city of Kun' Lun, young Danny Rand stared at a suit behind glass -- the garb of "the Immortal Iron Fist" -- and knew that he was destined to wear it. But where did this costume come from? Why did it wait for Danny all those years like a shadow of his future?

The answer to those questions will stun both him and his readers, as Danny Rand leaps from the pages of his breakout hit in DAREDEVIL to his own series - a history-spanning kung-fu epic that will shatter every perception of what it means to be the Immortal Iron Fist!

Brought to you by top-ten writer Ed Brubaker and breakout talent Matt Fraction (Punisher War Journal), with action-packed art by David Aja (Daredevil, Giant-Size Wolverine).

Immortal Iron Fist #1 from Marvel Comics

Jeph Loeb and Rob Liefeld mush back in time to bring out and with the return of the one, the only, mix of the mind between Professor X and Magneto in Onslaught
Reborn. A blast from the past made in five chunks of the Marvel rubble.

Rustle on the Japanese and Korean horror to mix well with Mike Carey, Jim Fern and Rob Hunter in a new ongoing known as Crossing Midnight. From Vertigo, a series on the horror/fantasy/mythology section of the park.

Zombies. Swords. Red Sonja. Put them in a parody blender shaped like a coffin, churn up the pieces, resurrect the body and you have Dead Sonja: She Zombie With A Sword. A bent one-shot with fleshy bits from Blatant Comics.

Phase two of the saga continues with Transformers: Escalation. From the loins of Simon Furman and E.J. Su through the IDW Publishng bulb.

For the many and the few who chose to forgo collecting the back ups, Marvel have collected the appearance Ultimate Vision into an aptly titled Ultimate Vision #0. Just in time for the launch of the miniseries hitting next month.

Absolutely nothing to learn from reading a brief of Hero Street at Hero Street Press. Eric Miller, Federico Zumel and Chuck Bordell kicking down a door to revel in what could be a comedy. Or a thriller. Who knows, like licking the back of a coin.

Robots and zombies, you'd think the world had enough of these two. Can't be the case when it's a skeletal and fleshy hand versus a hook claw in Zombies Vs Robots. First half of the game with Ashley Wood calling the shots in the IDW ring.

Know what it's like to do nothing and be labelled a hero? Brian Pulido and Juan Jose Ryp take things down the slasher slick on a Mischief Night Special from Avatar Press. Two enter a mansion. Four walk around. Only one leaves.

Also in the fray of metal on metal action is Transformers: Timelines. Featuring the Beast Wars era, it's the tale to begin all tales. Of Transformer tales.

Flip a coin for the first of Guy Gardner: Collateral Damage from DC. Flip the coin again and get the other side the next month. Barring probability tilting back into the same side. In which case, find something else to tell the months apart. Howard Chaykin is holding this ring.

Crossing arms and misreading the sinister world

Face offs happen everywhere. Not the kind with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta swapping skin, but the kind where two or more people are in company, talking or not talking to each other.

Business, relationships, stand-offs with the delivery guy come late and with broken and dented packages, it's everywhere and anywhere. And it's the non verbal parts that open up a little on the conversation at hand.

Reading the game is all about reading the other person, and key to that is where they're holding their arms. For instance, those with their arms crossed are said to be defensive and guarded about themselves and the situation.

Never once do they who write those guides think of the people whose arms are freakishly fused in such a fashion. They could be opening up, but people who read body language wouldn't know.

Bananas in one hand, cash and laundry in the other

Banana Brian with maracas - Family Guy series 6 action figure - Mezco Toyz
Takes a loose minded entrepeneur to figure out that skinning a dog in a banana suit may add to the high price of a hand. Pity not the dog, in this case Brian Griffin from The Family Guy, a tool in the whole marketing scheme and scam.

Takes the discerning consumer to work out that a dog dressed in a banana suit helps no one in the long run. Not if the dog isn't playing all the cards that are involved in the game of dressing up fruity.

Such as knowing the limit at which the costume will work. After a certain period of time, it should be either taken out as a whole or left for the compost and hopefully the return back into the environment.

Another thing to note is the infuriating stickers that comes with the costume. Vital for those who are interested in knowing the wheres and whats. Less so for those who forget and throw it in the wash, only to end up with bits floating about not yet ready to let go.

Dressing up as a fruit is one thing. Knowing how to be the fruit is another thing entirely.

12 step trials of Shazam

Trials Of Shazam! #1 (of 12); written by Judd Winick, art and cover by Howard Porter
Not the HSC and nothing to do with the swig. It's all about keeping magic in check, a smashed rock and promotions all around in the family of Captain Marvel.

That's DC by the way, where the universe is in on itself and it's up to Billy Batson to step up to the plate and order a nice healthy breakfast.

Acclaimed writer Judd Winick (OUTSIDERS, GREEN ARROW) redefines the mighty Captain Marvel in a 12-issue maxiseries featuring a stunning new art style for fan-favorite illustrator Howard Porter (THE FLASH, JLA)!

The world is in magical turmoil as Captain Marvel tries to keep everything under control in the aftermath of the events of DAY OF VENGEANCE. And with the rest of the Marvel Family powerless, it's all up to him - unless some drastic changes occur fast. Luckily, everything changes by this issue's end!

From Basement Comics comes Cavewoman Jungle Jam swinging by and with Paul Renaud on the other vine.

Rumour monger Rich Johnston takes a dirt nap in CSI: Dying In The Gutters. On the case with IDW and the CSI crew, Steven Grant and Stephen Mooney in the one-shot.

Frank Cho, Doug Murray and Homs slash it on with Dynamite Entertainment to bring Savage Red Sonja: Queen of the Frozen Wastes. There's no better outfit than a chain mail bikini to head off into the frozen north side, and that's just exactly what happens in this of the four part series.

Double Dynamite as Battlestar Galactica heads into the new series. Greg Pak and Nigel Raynor are stowaways on Galactica as they sandwich themselves in tales between seasons of the reincarnated show.

On a DC flight, Chuck Dixon and Gordon Purcell hope on board with Snakes On A Plane. An adaptation to sit back and relax with in a suit filled with cheese and big grins.

Car jacker victim of a Bumblebee scare

"Just a joke," exclaims Byron, as he watches as the body of his long time associate, Gary, is rushed to the nearby No Mercy hospital.

What started out as an ordinary midday prank turned ugly when Gary, unaware of being the mark, found himself clutching to what he thought was his heart. Instead of the meaty folds underneath his shirt, a baby pineapple. One that he'd forgotten to eat earlier that morning with his Extra-Flo bran cereal. The resultant sharp pain from the spikes sent Gary into preliminary shock.

Walking up to the scene in a home-made costume, his friend Byron started yelling declarations and warnings such as, "They have found you!" and "Police are coming with laser dogs!" This sudden burst of noise is believed to have been the secondary trigger, two halves to a stone and the wailing ambulance was soon calling.

Records show that the two have been wanted in a string of recent car thefts -- mostly miniature and model versions -- possibly what triggered such a response.

Gary remains on blue jelly and a frozen solid waterbed.
