Young Avengers Presents #1: Patriot; Marvel Comics

Young Avengers Presents #1, there is light and finally we get to experience some Young Avengers action. It has been far too long, what have they been up too? This is a six part mini-series with each issue featuring a member of the team, first up is Patriot.

Patriot Originally mistaken for a Captain America-inspired character it is revealed that he is Elijah "Eli" Bradley, grandson of Isaiah Bradley. His original costume resembled that of Bucky Barnes. At first he resented Steve Rogers because of what happened to his grandfather. Eli is said to have gotten his grandfather's powers after a fight where he got stabbed and after losing blood his grandfather gave him a blood transfusion.

For those of you that have not heard or read about the Young Avengers, please check out the first two trade paper backs; Volume #1 'Sidekicks' and Volume #2 'Family Matters' or the hard cover collection all twelve issues plus the special.

They’re back at last! Patriot, Hulkling, Wiccan, Vision, Stature and Hawkeye! Where have they been and what is their place in this new post-CIVIL WAR Marvel Universe? It will take six issues by six top creative teams to tell the tale! In this first installment, featuring PATRIOT, the grandson of the black Captain America struggles with his unresolved feelings about the death of Steve Rogers, and seeks out the Winter Soldier hoping to find some guidance.
