Seven Soldiers: Zatanna #1 (of 4); Written by Grant Morrison, art by Ryan Sook and Mick Gray
DC's sorceress supreme, Zatanna Zatara, has unwittingly found herself in the middle of an anti-
myxomatosis versus pro-myxomatosis battle over the population control of rabbits. Honing an age old magic trick of pulling out a white rabbit from a top hat, Zatara -- daughter of John Zatara and Sindella and a reputed descendant of Leonard da Vinci -- soon found her quarters filling up with the lagomorphs.
As the act scurried wildly out of control, the enchantress found herself ambushed by a pack of publicity hungry photographers armed with their telescopic lenses and flash bulbs. Under the glare and sudden capture, red-eye reduction methods were of no aid against a mammal whose eyes stain red like the morning after a heavy bender.
With the facility based off an island near
Themyscira, it's not clear how the sudden population explosion of the rabbits will affect the environment. Assurances that the rabbits are all merely temporary constructs doing little to abate worries of the cabbage patch kids.
